CUN

Siapa benda or who da hell (my Indian colleague likes to say this! It's not right, but it's funneh) yang CUN ni? ME....of course! Nama pun blog I kan. Aiks? Main kasar nampak. Nak jadi maharaja lawak ker? Anyway, ASTRO was smart enough to get people to purchase the channel after the show preview since everyone was saying the show is hillarious. Of course it is! All the clowns jokers from various seasons of Raja Lawak are in the show. But I have never watched it before. Just the other day, hubby went dissapeared while I was entertaining the little one with her favourite dvd in our room. I found him watching TV downstairs since the volume was too loud. So, I "bbm"ed him sarcastically, "Best sangat ke cita yang you tengok yang sampai nak meletup TV tu?" (Is the show you are watching that interesting until the TV sounds like its going to explode?). He answered short & simple : "Maharaja Lawak best giler" (Maharaja Lawak show is crazy awesome). hahahahahha. I don't blame him for that.

Back to CUN. It's actually a Malay film that is still showing in the cinema, though it's coming to an end. I have no intention to watch this film at all, because I don't watch Malay film in cinema (bukan poyo...tapi tak berkesempatan). I only watch them if my "obsession" is acting or related to the film. For instance, 1)"Pisau Cukur" because of Miss Fazura of course, 2) "Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa" because of Anuar Zain . Memang la Anuar tak berlakon, tapi lagu Sedetik Lebih tu favourite I hokay. So, kiranya ada la sipi2 terkena kat film tu :p. Besides, Stephen Huges Rahman is a hunk!
Nevertheless, I was suprised with the good remarks made by many that have watched this underdog film in tweeter and facebook, since CUN was not a highly publicized film. Though the main roles are big names like Maya Karin and Remy Ishak, but I'm not really a fan. Rumours going around is these 2 main characters are having an actual special relationship that is reflected through their chemistry in the film. Ermmm, if it's true...you are one lucky guy la, Remy!

Super drop dead gorgeous? No doubt. Talented actor? I'm not sure!

I don't understand what is it with this Remy guy that all the girls are going crazy about him. They said he represents the exotic Malay hero look, while I think he looks like a "merah ka? hijau ka?". hahahaha. Mulut....Choiii taw!

But after watching CUN with my sister and beloved mom, I have to acknowledge that Remy Ishak is one talented actor (though I still think he looks like bahiya.  I like his acting. Touching giler tu...bila hero Malaya ni boley nangis naturally and buat I nangis entah berapa ribu kali tak tau masa tengok cita tu. Lucky I went with my "girls". So there's nothing to be shy of because my mom is ze DIVA. Dia memang kuat nangis bila tengok movie. Kosserrrrr taw!

CUN's story line was simple and fun. A kampung guy trying to woo a glamorous TV host that ran away to his kampung due to stressful city life. The girl went head over heel for his character and how responsible & loving he was towards the family. In the end, miscommunication happened and the kampung guy felt cheated by the glamour girl. And then? You have to buy the dvd la because I don't think the cinemas are still showing it.

Kudos to Remy Ishak. You are my new favourite actor, besides, Afdlin, Adlin, Que Haidar and Hans Isaac. Maya Karin was a so-so in the movie, but has inspired me to shed that extra baggage. Im obsessed with her flawless look in the film. I also have to give credit to the supporting roles like "Manja" and "Kuntum @ Tom" that have touched our hearts throughout the film.

CUN memang CUN !!!
