Its really exciting to see how far Hijabis has come compared to those days. Hijab is no longer a curb to being stylish. I'm just impressed with their creativity and it must have been a real challenge for the designers to come up with the latest design in the market. Tengok kat Malaysia je la. Macam-macam jenis tudung ada.

Teenage hijabis are the most creative of all, I must say. They keep coming with the latest style to "belit / lilit" the shawl....sampai kadang-kadang tak boleh nak fikir apa style la yang deorang pakai tu. But I salute them for being  bold enough in presenting the innovative and creative side of them. Though some of the styles are a bit over the top , but I do like some of the styles. For me...it has to be simple and yet properly covered. Takderla yang vogue sangat macam tunjuk2 subang and leher tu. No offend...but as I said earlier....FOR ME la kan!

But as much as I want to be fashionable, my biggest challenge is dealing with a 3 years old diva that will "bergayut" on me and just won't stop touching my "tudung". Lemah betul la bila Iman Nadyne start usik2 pin and brooch I. Ishh ..... dah la nak "belit" shawl tu amik masa 14jam.That's when I finally give up my "niat suci nak jadi diva melets!". Hahahahahaha.

So....solution?

Don't you just think that this is the best invention ever for mommies like us? We are blessed with this genius invention. I can just "grab & go" and still "feeling" stylish.

I am neither perfect nor pious (You know how people like to say, "Alah....macam la dia tu betul sangat pakai tudung"). Nonetheless, Im trying and learning to improve myself and cover my aurah as perfect as I could. And this post is not about judging others but as a reminder to myself and also other hijabis on how we often misunderstood between "covering aurah" , "wearing hijab/tudung" and "to be fashionable in hijab". I mean...of course we can be trendy and fashionable in hijab, but it has to be done appropriately and accordingly.

Surah An-Nur, Verses 30 and 31
'And Say to the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bossoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim women) (i.e. sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful'

Tried to search her again many times, but I couldn't because I have no idea at all of what her name is. It was love at first sight. I adore her style, particularly.

Got 2 pairs of flats at Brands Outlet, Ikano for only RM90. Glad with the deal considering that I'm a fastidious shoe buyer (I want a gorgeous and most comfortable one at the most reasonable price). And they have size 10! Woot...woot!

Remember when I told you about Hana Tajima in my previous post? Do you even know that she is currently in Malaysia with her good friend Yuna to unveil her fashion line, MYSAA to Malaysians for the very first time. Aren't we just lucky???

Ow....cerita pasal Yuna ni.....frankly I was never a fan until recently....after her transformation from the "indie girl" to a stylista. Well.....I won't deny that she is one talented girl. And the image she carried was something new to Malaysia's music industry. Smart, talented song-writer, sopan santun, bertudung, and etc. Tho she is not drop-that-gorgeous, tapi dia ada aura tersendiri la. Ishh....napa tiba-tiba I jadi taksub kat Yuna ni?? Dah kono pukau ko apo?hhahahahaha.

So, here's the story! Since my write up pasal Hana Tajima and Muslimah fashion industry, I've been eyeing both of these girls since deorang ni ala2 BFF la kan.. Selalu gaks la melawat blog deorang. I've been captivated and inspired without knowing that Hana Tajima will be coming to meet her Malaysian fans. I must be very lucky to start knowing her then, kan! Kalau tak melopong jelahhh....tak kenal sapa bestpren Yuna ni. I memang teringin sesangattt nak jumpa 2 perempuan ni. Lepas tau pasal event Yuna vs Hana : Live Fashion, Love Music....I've been dreaming of meeting my 2 favourite people on that day. Berangan je la kan....even dah tau tak bley pegi cs the event will be on Monday 3-6pm. Why did you choose Monday of all the days? WHYYYYYYYY???????

Tapi, memang betul la. Doa orang2 yang teraniaya macam I ni selalunyer akan jadi kenyataan. wakakakakakkaa. Nak tau napa???????

Mommy's Mannequin

On 1 random weekends, we went to One Utama for a casual family outing. As usual, I'll make it a point to drop by at my favourite outlets. When I passed by the GAP Kids Outlet, I saw the mannequin wearing a striped-ballerina like-long sleeve-dress that has really captured my eyes. Mommy went head over heel for the dress and want Iman girl to wear it soooo badly.

I bawak Iman masuk and lucky me....mood dia ok la plak aritu. Masuk fitting room terus try it on. She got very excited and started checking out herself in the mirror. Hahahahaha. Diva gilersss!!!

Dah syok sangat try baju baru, Iman terus tak nak bukak baju tu. Hahhahahaha.....this is my favourite part cos I really fell in love with the dress. And now, ada la sebab mommy nak bagitau daddy kenapa mommy kena beli baju tu. Boley tak? "Inila yang dinamakan FAMILY PLANNING"( REF : 3 Abdul).hehehehhe

Muslimah Fashion Update

I used to be quite fashionable. Long time ago....when I was still single and used to have that "36-24-36" figure. Tibbbaaaahhh....hahahhahaha. But seriously, fashion is my passion. I used to shop every single day. Keluar masuk shopping center, beli baju ,kasut and bags non-stop. But I have not done that for quite a while now. Entah la....not that I have lost interest in fashion, I still do. Still watching all the fashion related shows on tv. U can ask my boo-boo. My favourite shows on tv are fashion-related shows like American Next Top Model, Project Runaway, and my favourite fashion icon's show, Life in the Fab Lane.

Tapi, my "priority" has changed ever since I had Iman Nadyne. She is my "priority" now. Nothing else matter. But its still about fashion la. I dress her up according to my taste and preference. Thats the beauty of having a baby girl,kan. Its ok nyah, mak tak boley nak melaram pun takpela.....mak laramkan anak jer. Tapi lately ni, Iman pun dah pandai pilih sendiri apa yang dia nak pakai. Ermmm...ke mana tumpahnya kuah kalau tak ke nasi.hehehhehehe. I always have this feelings that I should be doing something along the fashion line. Maybe bukak butik ke, or jadi fashion journalist.

So, what's up with my our fashion industry? Lately ni, I rasa...banyak giler butik2 yang jual busana muslimah. Tapi yang peliknya, bila jual je baju2 bertutup ni, sure harga nak "up" jer. Tengok harga baju2 kat Puteh tu sampai riban2. Ishhh3. Telan air lior ajerler...Napa eh busana muslimah ni mahal2 harganya? Maybe sebab pakai lebih kain kot:) Abaya pun tiba2 meletopppsss. Melambak I tengok website jual abaya online. Pun tak murah jugak. Macam yang I tengok kat House of Abaya aritu. Ada abaya yang sampai RM1000. Woot!! I told hubby boo-boo, ni sure abaya yang stok bini Raja2 Arab tu pakai. wakakakakak.

Just yesterday, when I was "googling" for latest fashion update,I found out about Hana Tajima. This Japanese-English fashion designer who has just coverted to Muslim 4 years ago, makes muslimah fashion chic and trendy but yet Islamic. Unlike some so-called muslimah boutique kat Malaysia ni yang buat dress labuh tapi melekat tak hengatttt kat badan. Muslimah lah sangatt kan.Tiba2 teringat pulak kat article pasal Wardina yang I pernah baca kat dalam 1 majalah. She was wise enough to say that "Knowledge tu penting untuk apa2 pun yang kita nak buat dalam hidup ni, termasuk la dalam menutup aurat. Nak tutup aurat pun kene ada knowledge. Bukannya pakai sebab ikut trend".BINGO!!!

Lepas tengok Hana Tajima nye website semalam, tiba2 bersemangat la pulok nak revamp my wardrobe. I suka tengok the way dia mix-and-match macam2 style. Maybe sebab cuaca dia kat sana gaks la yang sejuk and dingin. If kat Malaysia ni, ishh....tak sesuuaiii sangat la. Haa...dah start la excuse I tu. Jangan pikir semua tu. Im sooo going to shop this weekend. Lama dah pun tak pegi shopping. Can't wait! Selamat bershopping to me:)
