There is always a first time..

Friday lunch plans have always been exciting. I got my own lunch clan. They are fun people at work that I'm most comfortable with. And today...someone gotta go to KLCC to get something done. It sounded crazy at first, since our office is in PJ. There is no way we ever get there and come back to the office within 2 hours. You know how massive Friday traffic is, especially KL city. The plan didn't really excite me at first, until she told me that she was going to take LRT there. Snap! Count me in!

So...what is it with LRT? Nothing much except that it's my FIRST time taking LRT. Crazy rite??? Call me "jakun" or "KG.com", but I acted tourist and captured every moment of my first LRT experience. Even the tourists were staring at me...thinking how could this girl looking very much LOCAL taking so much photos? hahahahhaha.

Today was an experience! Not only that I got to be on the LRT for the very first time but also an eye opening 30 minutes journey. I'm glad that I took the chance only to be warned by my boss for my 45 minutes lateness. Yes,yes...Okay...yes I know I'm late...and you can talk to my hand! hehehehe.

In the words of a sleeping beauty


Today has been kind to me. Was not as stressful as yesterday. And yes... tomorrow is Friday! It's D-day for every cubicle slave or comercially known as working people. hahahha. Yes!!! I am Friday people!

And as usual...e-mail, sms or bbm flying around...among the ladies, busy planning for our Friday lunch. And it all started with a follow up on our earlier plan to have a farewell lunch for our ex-associate.We missed her and didn't get the chance to say proper goodbye to her just yet. Sadly...she won't be able to make it tomorrow.

And so....we started to visualize our soon to be perfect Friday lunch. Some suggested to cook from home and eat by the lakeside which I have turned down immediately due to Malaysia's fantastic weather (especially on Friday afternoon), some suggest not to go so far cos the Friday traffic is usually massive and this girl who is also known as a sleeping beauty in our workplace, suggested we just eat across the office because she wants to be back in the office early. Everyone started to tease her reply or rather suggestion because we know the fact that she needs the Friday nap badly. Hahahahhaa. Budak ni kecik jer....and she sleeps like everywhere and anytime. Just bring it on! Atas kerusi office ke....kat meja ke, dalam kereta ke...mana2 la. Give her 3 minutes and she will sleep. Lawak giler. She reminds me of my younger days when my dad also called me a sleeping beauty. But I can't afford the title anymore now cos I've got a little snow white to look after. hahahaha

So...back to the sleeping beauty, she ended up sending this long e-mail on the benefits of sleep, which has shut everyone down. I seriously feel responsible to share this here since many of us regards their sleep as not so important. I seriously tak paham kenapa budak2 sekarang ,like my younger brothers and sisters stay up late and waste time talking on the phone, skyping, facebooking, teh tariking, watching movies or even do nothing at late night. Nak dekat2 subuh macam tu baru la nak tido. The next day...dalam pukul 12pm baru nak bangun tido. How disorganized their life is, kan. Bukan ke siang orang semua pegi keje, cari rezeki untuk bawak balik petang nanti. Tapi budak2 sekarang ni, their day starts after 12pm.They are just going againts the human nature.

Well.............u kids out there...or even those who are not kids anymore, but still behaving irresponsibly, please read this!

It is difficult to operate normally when you have been deprived of sleep. Any one who has been deprived of sleep feels tired and sleepy the following day. Apart from the relaxation that one gets after sleeping, there are other benefits of sleep:

Stress management
If you do not sleep well for a long time the body is stressed out. This may cause insomnia. If the insomnia is to be acted upon then the level of stress has to be reduced. The best way to reduce stress is by talking to a physician who will give you the directions of how you will sort this problem.
Heart Health
Studies on insomnia show that it can cause an increase in blood pressure. This is in turn increases the risk of getting a heart disease. Insomnia is also known to cause a sharp increase in weight. It is another factor that increases the possibility of getting a heart disease.The solution lies in getting a good night's sleep. If you sleep well for seven to nine hours everyday, you will lose some of the excess weight.
Productivity
Among the immediate and most noticeable benefits of sleep is the level of productivity that you will get the following day. Failure to get enough sleep even if it is for a single night will bring down your productivity the following day.Failure to sleep well for a number for nights makes it harder for you to get back to the normal alertness. It will be difficult to compensate for the hours that you did not sleep in just one night. The answer lies in sleeping well every night.
General Health
Failure to sleep well contributes towards the occurrence of some medical conditions. Getting good quality of sleep makes it possible to attain good physical health. It also boosts your emotions.
Skin
Sleeping well makes the skin look healthier and youthful. The complexion is also improved as the skin grows and renews more when a person is sleeping. Failure to sleep well makes the skin dry and this makes it age quickly.
Hormones

Sleeping well allows the body to have an opportunity to produce hormones in the regular way. If you do not sleep well the hormonal production will be affected and cause a craving for carbohydrates. Sleeping well will eliminate the strain that the body undergoes.When you sleep in a dark room, you will get most benefits of sleep. Light can have adverse effects on the pineal gland which produces melatonin. Melatonin regulates the way circadian rhythm of the body functions. Its production is affected by the presence of light. Even a brief exposure to light might affect the production of melatonin. It can also make the production to stop for the entire night if you are exposed to light for a long time during this period of circadian rhythm.When you are tensed up the quality of sleep can be affected. The best thing is for you to relax before going to bed. This will make you to sleep well.

Please make sure you have enough sleep of at least 6-7 hours per day and not only that....but also please follow the normal sleeping hours. That's when you'll have a peaceful deep sleep.

The Dreamers....

Dah lama giler tak main bowling. Cita2 dulu nak ganti Shalin Zulkifli, tapi tak kesampaian. hahahha. I still remember how me and my family will bowl every weekend. We just love it. But time flies, people grow apart and it has been ages since I left the game. Tapi baru-baru ni, my whole team went out for a bowling session at the Cosmic Bowl, Mid Valley. So....the people in the pictures below are my colleagues. And why we the dreamers? Because we believe in "The Power of Dreams". So,company mana I keje??? Go figure.....


These are my fun friends. Tho some of them are not fun at all. So...you FUN people, you know who you are! Berposing sebelum game start hukumnya ialah wajib. hahahhaha.

Tengok la keadaan dalam Cosmic Bowl ni. Masa kitaorang baru nak start main tu elok lagi. Bila tengah2 syiok main, jadi macam ni pulak dah. Glow in the dark. Tak sesuaiiiii betul la. Especiallyrang2 yang rabun macam I. Tapi best gaks la bila tengok muka sorang2 glowing in the dark tu. Dah macam kunta kinte. muahahahahhaha.(Giler jahat cara gelak)
After bowling at about 9.30pm, we went straight to Nandos. Soruu time la. Pneat kan main bowling. Semua pun dah complain lapar cos lambat sangat makan. Tapi Ismet pandai. Ismet and clan dah makan McD sebelum bowling, secara rahsia. hahahhahahah. Sebab tu la Ismet maintain relax je even dinner @ 9.30pm. Padan muka kau Labu!

Tengok budak kecik kat belakang tu. Macam kenal tak?? Dia la model majalah Mangga yang terlaris tu. Hahahahahha.

Pengawas Office

Did I spell it wrong? Pengawal ke Pengawas ? I am very sure that there is a few prefect / inspector gadget / penyibuk / stalker kat tempat keje I. Irritating la..... I've got many names for YOU, ok. Yes, YOU!!

Serious, tak boley blah....Macam takda kerja lain. Ni marah ni. Dari pagi menyibuk hal orang. Mentang2 la boss besaq semua cuti. Dia plak nak jadi A.K.A. Don't you have better things to do?? GET A LIFE, you old grandma.

Working Culture woot???

Wazzuppppppp partay people................Chewahhh, macam happening gilezz je mak ni:)

Lama I senyap kan. Napa eh? Jiwa kacau la.....kacau giler. The feelings of not being recognized / appreciated /apparised accordingly is killing me. Where did all my effort and achievement went to? Longkang ke? What's the point of working so hard to improve the situation when end of the day you are judged by how fit are you or to be precise how many sick leaves you have in a year.

Pelik kan....tapi benar! Sure korang confuse. What does performance appraisal has got to do with my fitness? I keje apa ni? Polis ke? Ker....askar / tentera udara / tentera laut?????
Nooo people. I'm an ordinary 5 days-a-week office working people. My work has nothing to do with physical endurance pun. Dah tu? Apa jadahnye appraise performance I based on my MC? Senang giler la kan buat appraisal macam tu. Even a clerk or SPM leaver could do it.

"Jadi bapak marah yaa???" - source : 3Abdul. Memang marah......what an absurd way to evaluate performance! Have you not learned about the fundamental of management, Ms.Manager / Mr.Senior Manager? Or even on performance appraisal? There should be a balance score between level of adherence and work performance. Or you didn't even go to University, Ms and Mr smart a#s!

Im tired of arguing and fighting for my right! I still remember having a hard talk with THAT someone :

Ms. A : Its very unfortunate that your attendance has affected your rating, even though I have to admit that you are one of those with BRAIN a.k.a SMART here.(blah la.....belit lebey jer)

mE : But I was really sick and I even went to the hospital to get myself thoroughly examined. That shows my seriousness in treating my sickness. And you can access to the medical report if you wish to, since I went to the panel hospital. Isn't that justified?

Ms. A : But, u have to understand that a day of you not being in the office is equivalent to a non-productive day since your work will be done by someone else.

mE : What about people that come to work every single day and do nothing at the office. Or even got consulted many times due to poor performance/discipline issue? You knwo what Im talking about. Its happening here!

Ms. A : I can't comment or do anything about that. This is how Japanese work( jawab dengan senyum segan cos dia sendiri pun rasa jawapan dia bodohhh gilerr)

So.....thats it! Ive got the answer to all my questions. Its the Japanese working culture + my bosses that have no guts to fight for the staffs. Pefect combo!

I'm not going to take this sh*t anymore. Its an insult to my intelligence. Shame on you people who got paid so much only to take bloody Japanese working culture or whatever you call 'em.
