4 eyes

Opsss....I did it again! I overstressed my eyes. Pretended that I'll be fine staring at lappy's screen without my reading glasses, but it was an ambitious attempt. I have to admit that it caused me horrible eye strain and eventually headache.

What is it with you,woman? What's wrong with reading glasses? It doesn't make me any uglier . No...not that! I just don't like the trace of lines around my eyes when I take it off and the way it smeared my foundation. I don't have to touch up my makeup every time I take my glasses off, do I? That's the reason why I normally put on my glasses when laziness strikes. Use my glasses to cover my panda eyes. Good tips for all you ladies? hihihihihiihih.

But what option do I have? I don't do contact lenses. I have sensitive eyes and will end up looking like Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam. Creepy huh! hahahahhahha.So, I guess I'll just have to put up with this "teacher look".

Obsession

I'm watching Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in "Road to The Altar" on E-Channel for the 2nd time now. I couldn't really concentrate during the first time because little diva didn't allow me to. But tonight, I'm just enjoying my time alone since she fell asleep quite early, at 11pm.

To find out that they got married only after 10 years knowing each other is out of the world. But who wouldn't if it was for The Prince, right! It is worth the wait! Heheheheheheh.

But you know what...I don't care about how long they have waited for each other. All I know is...I am officially obsessed with the way Kate does her make-up. Sheer simplicity for everyday fresh look! And not forgetting..the killer eyebrow.

How BIG is BIG?

I have turned into a monster lately. HUGE monstrous monster! It's a shame that I have put on so much weight. Thanks to my mom, the best cook in the world for the unhealthy treat every single day. Her expertise is malay traditional cuisine.You know how malay food has to be taken with rice, rite. When I say rice, it means loads of rice and you know how mom always say "Habiskan la semua tu. Takda siapa lagi nak makan. Sayang je kalau buang nanti" (Finish it all. Nobody else would eat it and it's going to be wasted). So...am I to be blamed or my mom? 100% non other than myself kan. I should be responsible for myself, my look, my weight and my health.

I have always considered myself as a plus size or curvy woman, but now I think it's just me being in denial when I'm actually FAT! The ugly truth is...I'm FAT now and I don't like the way I look! Full stop! Face it woman! You won't look nice in anything unless you are proportionate. Get this right okay....proportionate and not thin or skinny! When I say proportionate, I mean your weight is supported by an appropriate height and body frame.



This could be how I look now...or maybe slightly smaller but that doesn't make any excuse for me to keep on eating like there's no tomorrow, right! Im just irritated with the way my tummy is bulging and it is no longer a secret. Its a great ordeal to keep my best kept secret these days. I miss the fun of shopping online because they don't cater UK14 or UK16 sizes. Most importantly, I do not like to be photographed. Though when its only face and above, its sad to see how my face has turned to be "shapeless". Its plain round, with double chin of course. OMG! Its just not a good sight!

I don't have to wait any longer before turning into this....



That's it! Its a make or break situation for me. I have to get rid of that damn culprit rice! In fact, I have started since Sunday and I hope it is not just me loosing appetite temporarily since I'm down with flu and fever. I have to be strong. I gotta be beautiful for myself and Mr.Hubby who has never complained about the way I look. Most importantly, I want to be healthy for my little one!

Bones vs Flesh

Selalu memang orang lagi prefer sup tulang kan. Ada ke orang pegi cari sup daging? Takder kan. Apsal sup tulang eh? Apa yang nak makan? Nama pun tulang kan.

Look at these gorgeous ladies. They are equally attractive but what makes them differ from one another? Besides their colours which is pretty obvious ....does size really matters? Its down to individual preference.

Fashion world used to be flooded with bones. Remember Kate Moss? I don't understand what makes her so famous. Is she really that attractive because all I see was skin and bones. But that was the industry's requirement back then. These "skeletons" could easily fit into any outfit.

But the industry has evolved to suit the market demand. I'm glad to see the industry has started welcoming plus sized models. Well....now they are being REALISTIC! Because the designers have come to realize that they are not only selling clothes to models but REAL people that come in different sizes.

I must say I belong to the curvy league. I have to admit that living in Malaysia, it is not easy to look for my size. My kinda store is normally Dorothy Perkins, Marks & Spencer, Zara and other stores that carry UK sizes. I feel like an oversized Malaysian because local brands normally cater free size. That really brought me down and most of the times I wish I'm skinny or have this "universal" size, so that its easier to be fashionable.

I used to be skinny in my teenage years and now into my womanly curve. Though I wish I could have my old size back, but I wouldn't change anything about my current body.

I'm beautiful the way I am!

Jyyeahhhh!! That's the spirit!! Walaupun nak menyedapkan hati sendiri je sebenarnya. hahahahhaha.

All you ladies out there...appreciate your figure, be it skinny or curvy. Be confident and  work that body beautiful!

In the words of a sleeping beauty


Today has been kind to me. Was not as stressful as yesterday. And yes... tomorrow is Friday! It's D-day for every cubicle slave or comercially known as working people. hahahha. Yes!!! I am Friday people!

And as usual...e-mail, sms or bbm flying around...among the ladies, busy planning for our Friday lunch. And it all started with a follow up on our earlier plan to have a farewell lunch for our ex-associate.We missed her and didn't get the chance to say proper goodbye to her just yet. Sadly...she won't be able to make it tomorrow.

And so....we started to visualize our soon to be perfect Friday lunch. Some suggested to cook from home and eat by the lakeside which I have turned down immediately due to Malaysia's fantastic weather (especially on Friday afternoon), some suggest not to go so far cos the Friday traffic is usually massive and this girl who is also known as a sleeping beauty in our workplace, suggested we just eat across the office because she wants to be back in the office early. Everyone started to tease her reply or rather suggestion because we know the fact that she needs the Friday nap badly. Hahahahhaa. Budak ni kecik jer....and she sleeps like everywhere and anytime. Just bring it on! Atas kerusi office ke....kat meja ke, dalam kereta ke...mana2 la. Give her 3 minutes and she will sleep. Lawak giler. She reminds me of my younger days when my dad also called me a sleeping beauty. But I can't afford the title anymore now cos I've got a little snow white to look after. hahahaha

So...back to the sleeping beauty, she ended up sending this long e-mail on the benefits of sleep, which has shut everyone down. I seriously feel responsible to share this here since many of us regards their sleep as not so important. I seriously tak paham kenapa budak2 sekarang ,like my younger brothers and sisters stay up late and waste time talking on the phone, skyping, facebooking, teh tariking, watching movies or even do nothing at late night. Nak dekat2 subuh macam tu baru la nak tido. The next day...dalam pukul 12pm baru nak bangun tido. How disorganized their life is, kan. Bukan ke siang orang semua pegi keje, cari rezeki untuk bawak balik petang nanti. Tapi budak2 sekarang ni, their day starts after 12pm.They are just going againts the human nature.

Well.............u kids out there...or even those who are not kids anymore, but still behaving irresponsibly, please read this!

It is difficult to operate normally when you have been deprived of sleep. Any one who has been deprived of sleep feels tired and sleepy the following day. Apart from the relaxation that one gets after sleeping, there are other benefits of sleep:

Stress management
If you do not sleep well for a long time the body is stressed out. This may cause insomnia. If the insomnia is to be acted upon then the level of stress has to be reduced. The best way to reduce stress is by talking to a physician who will give you the directions of how you will sort this problem.
Heart Health
Studies on insomnia show that it can cause an increase in blood pressure. This is in turn increases the risk of getting a heart disease. Insomnia is also known to cause a sharp increase in weight. It is another factor that increases the possibility of getting a heart disease.The solution lies in getting a good night's sleep. If you sleep well for seven to nine hours everyday, you will lose some of the excess weight.
Productivity
Among the immediate and most noticeable benefits of sleep is the level of productivity that you will get the following day. Failure to get enough sleep even if it is for a single night will bring down your productivity the following day.Failure to sleep well for a number for nights makes it harder for you to get back to the normal alertness. It will be difficult to compensate for the hours that you did not sleep in just one night. The answer lies in sleeping well every night.
General Health
Failure to sleep well contributes towards the occurrence of some medical conditions. Getting good quality of sleep makes it possible to attain good physical health. It also boosts your emotions.
Skin
Sleeping well makes the skin look healthier and youthful. The complexion is also improved as the skin grows and renews more when a person is sleeping. Failure to sleep well makes the skin dry and this makes it age quickly.
Hormones

Sleeping well allows the body to have an opportunity to produce hormones in the regular way. If you do not sleep well the hormonal production will be affected and cause a craving for carbohydrates. Sleeping well will eliminate the strain that the body undergoes.When you sleep in a dark room, you will get most benefits of sleep. Light can have adverse effects on the pineal gland which produces melatonin. Melatonin regulates the way circadian rhythm of the body functions. Its production is affected by the presence of light. Even a brief exposure to light might affect the production of melatonin. It can also make the production to stop for the entire night if you are exposed to light for a long time during this period of circadian rhythm.When you are tensed up the quality of sleep can be affected. The best thing is for you to relax before going to bed. This will make you to sleep well.

Please make sure you have enough sleep of at least 6-7 hours per day and not only that....but also please follow the normal sleeping hours. That's when you'll have a peaceful deep sleep.

Berapa ringgit sekilo???

Apa cerita ni? Harga daging/ikan/ayam naik lagi ke??? Bukannnn! Its about shedding some weight......oppss...not some....but loads of serious extra baggage.

Cuba korang tengok betul2 minah kat bawah ni. Agaks2...kenal tak? Horror kan. Hishh...sedap betul mulut mengata orang. Diri sendiri dah cermin ker? Dia ni la anak rocker yang hippy terkenal tu. She is Kelly Osbourne. Umur dia muda lagi, tapi maybe the bad eating habit ruined her. Sama macam I la. Appettite tersangatttt la bagus. Pagi2 masa breakfast pun boley rembat nasi putih dengan lauk. Ni yang orang kata eat your breakfast like a king! Tambah plak dengan my mom's cooking yang terhebat di serata nusantara! Oppss...sorry okay u olss! Mak tak masuk bakul angkat sendiri. Cuba tanya kat semua orang yang pernah makan my mom's cooking. Tak pernah la yang kata tak sedap. My mom is a super classy chef. A raw talent, I would say.



So, back to Kelly. Napa tiba2 I nak cakap pasal dia plak eh? She is my muse. Lately ni, Im frustrated with the way I look. I don't even dare to see myself in the mirror. I look horrendous. Nak dress up pun takda mood....cos I won't look good in any outfit. Its really depressing. Its hard to look for any outfit except at pluz size shops, like Ms.Read or any UK based shops that brings in size up to 18, like DP (p/s: please don't think that I'm wearing size 18 ok. I'm a size 14, which is not acceptable either) . Even Zara/TopShop/MNG can't cater my size. Subsequently, I ended up wearing outdated roomy clothes to accomodate that extra baggage. There goes my fashionista status quo. hehehehehehhe.


And look at her now. Its funny,how a same person, with the same old face could look totally different after loosing weight. That's hell lot of weight loss girl!Last night on E News, Kelly commented on her new bikini body featured on Maxim cover. She said everything is real, without any surgery or quick fix. I have doubt on that. But to be optimistic, I'm gonna buy what she claimed and work on my diet. Like seriously! I know some people might laugh and say...yeah whatever!!! Especially those who knows how I eat. But...I'm gonna prove you wrong this time. I need to fix the situation. Its alarminggggggg!
How come suddenly she turns into a fashionista? Thats a mind boggling question rite. I believe everyone has different personal style or at least dream / inspired to have one. But there certain restriction in life that is stopping one from doing so. Like in mine and Kelly's case, its the size. So, SIZE DOES MATTER! Kelly has proven that you can be from trashy to flashy if you are willing to shed that unwanted fat. So, ladies......let's BE REAL, FACE IT AND WORK IT!!
