100% Malay but.............

100% Malay but half Japanese.....at taste bud :p

I love Japanese food, but unfortunately it's a bit too costly to be consumed on daily basis. So...as usual, at the end of every month ( to be specific, on or the week of pay day or other unusal occasion like bonus day), I'll pamper myself with the Japanese food. I like Japanese buffet like the one in Saisaki (I love the wide spread and can sit there the whole day), but it's not really convenient to get there. Lucky enough, there's a Sushi King across my office. So it is kinda monthly occasion for me and few others..

Let's SUSHI!

You gotta be careful when taking the wasabe in. You shouldn't talk because it might get into your nose and the feelings is OUCHHHHH!!!
My favourite, the prawn tempura on top of the sticky rice. Yummilicious!

Hmmm........serampang 4 mata nampaknya! hahahahaa
Done! Not quite right. Almost done!
Didn't I tell ya that I'm 100% Malay? Can't live, can't do without RICE!

Date day

When you are married for almost 6 years...with a 3 years old child, you kinda lost the magic moment or worst case scenario...that magic feelings that you used to have for your partner.Your focus will somehow change and suddenly its all about mommyhood because the little ones needs more attention than the grown up. Most of the times, wives unconcsiously neglected the husbands. Especially for couples who don't have a maid. I don't think maid is an issue here if we have "babysitter" services in Malaysia. Problem is...we don't. Perhaps...we are being skeptical on strangers taking care of our children. Who doesn't? Even a stay home maid will put up Houdini act whenever they give up.

Of course kita boley mintak tolong kat parents kita. But its the culture and the way you always want to "jaga hati orang tua" and "tak syok bila tinggal anak sebab nak berseronok-seronok" that hold me back. We ended up being "one happy family wherever we go". Of course I love little diva to be us, but there are times when I just want to have that romantic "just the 2 of us" time alone.
So...coming to my previous post, Mr.Hubs and I spent the last Thursday in "young couple" style. We started  off with lunch at Delicious, Mid Valley.

Tranquility
We feel young and so in loveee. Weehooo
The ever yummylicious chilli cheese fries. My favourite!
Makan beradap. Macam pengantin tu. Hahahaha
Done with the first part of our date. Off to GSC Signature Gardens for our first movie date after God knows how long. The feelings was just overwhelming.

We wanted privacy, so we opted for GSC Signature Gardens rather than Mid Valley. And as a credit to our very own epic film, we paid RM23 for a ticket. Aha...Thats the price for our "privacy"
Mr.Hubs is all happy and ready to Meronging. Hahahaha
Done with Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. 2 thumbs up to Malaysia's talented director, Yusry bdul Halim! Though the were times when the CGI being REALLY CGI,but overall...it was a local world class epic film. And of course, "Sedetik Lebih" by abang Nuar. Nuar...I lebiuuuuu!!! CAN'T HELP MYSELF. SORRY! has done justice to the film. Malaysia's best kept secret. Cheewahhhh!

Just opposite the cinema, we hit straight to The Red Box. Yeayyy! Happy hour!

Show time. Jyyeahhhh!
Introducing my own FT!
Nuar!!!!! I loveeeeee youuuuu!!!! Agak-agak lagu apa ni??
Lagu apa lagi??? SEDETIK LEBIH la. Kata baru lepas tengok Merong Mahawangsa kannnnn. That song was on replay mode. Mr.Hubby feeling giler nyanyi lagu ni. I lagi suka. Boley tengok muka abang Nuar banyak2 kali. Hooyeahhhh!
And finally.....of course.....kesayangan gue....Afgan! Mana mungkin gue lupakan lo! Nggakkk bisa deh, kerna cintaku BUKAN CINTA BIASA. Sayang bangettttt.

We went back home feeling content. We had great fun and felt just like our courting days again. So...to the married couples out there, try hard to make time for you and your partner because its crucial to keep the partnership spirit alive.

Happy Kid = Happy meal

Im glad to witness how F&B's businesses have evolved in their roles as not only providing normal services & product to people but also carrying their social responsibility towards bringing family together and also creating comfortable, fun and happy ambience while enjoying the food.

In case you are wondering what I'm mumbling about....its about how restaurants and food outlets have become more family oriented, especially for families with infants and toddlers. As a mom of 3 years old, I am very selective in my restaurants choices. You know how uneasy and chaotic it could be having a kid around while trying to enjoy your meal at the same time.

Since ada Iman Nadyne ni, makan kat luar ni dah tak jadi berapa relax. Macam mana situation pun...tetap mencabar. If makanan dia sampai dulu pun, bila dia dah habis makan....dia akan buat perangai. If makanan dia sampai lambat ....lagi teruk la kan. You cannot imagine how I have to keep her entertained throughout our patronage. But thank God, it is not as hard as before anymore.

Banyak dah food outlets yang ada special corner for the kiddos, like IKEA, most McDonalds and some KFCs. Actually....it doesn't take much to entertain the kids. Like in case of Iman Nadyne, a cute plate and cup is enough to keep her busy throughout. Speaking of which, she had a good time during our lunch at Absolute Thai today. Besides good food, I really feel that this personalized service goes a long way.

I couldn't agree more with the tag line! Very personalized. Its everywhere...

Look at how proud she is! She enjoys eating on that plate and the alphabets on the plate kept her entertained. She had fun figuring out which alpahabet belongs to who...Like "J" for daddy Joe!
Little Miss Sunshine's pandan chicken.
A must have Thai food.... mommy's thick TomYam soup

Me and my favourite Thai Ice Tea. Special nya air ni sebab guna gula merah

Happy Iman = Happy mommy = Happy US!

The Dreamers....

Dah lama giler tak main bowling. Cita2 dulu nak ganti Shalin Zulkifli, tapi tak kesampaian. hahahha. I still remember how me and my family will bowl every weekend. We just love it. But time flies, people grow apart and it has been ages since I left the game. Tapi baru-baru ni, my whole team went out for a bowling session at the Cosmic Bowl, Mid Valley. So....the people in the pictures below are my colleagues. And why we the dreamers? Because we believe in "The Power of Dreams". So,company mana I keje??? Go figure.....

These are my fun friends. Tho some of them are not fun at all. So...you FUN people, you know who you are! Berposing sebelum game start hukumnya ialah wajib. hahahhaha.

Tengok la keadaan dalam Cosmic Bowl ni. Masa kitaorang baru nak start main tu elok lagi. Bila tengah2 syiok main, jadi macam ni pulak dah. Glow in the dark. Tak sesuaiiiii betul la. Especiallyrang2 yang rabun macam I. Tapi best gaks la bila tengok muka sorang2 glowing in the dark tu. Dah macam kunta kinte. muahahahahhaha.(Giler jahat cara gelak)
After bowling at about 9.30pm, we went straight to Nandos. Soruu time la. Pneat kan main bowling. Semua pun dah complain lapar cos lambat sangat makan. Tapi Ismet pandai. Ismet and clan dah makan McD sebelum bowling, secara rahsia. hahahhahahah. Sebab tu la Ismet maintain relax je even dinner @ 9.30pm. Padan muka kau Labu!

Tengok budak kecik kat belakang tu. Macam kenal tak?? Dia la model majalah Mangga yang terlaris tu. Hahahahahha.

Our big group. Model Mangga still dengan signature pose dia. hahahahha. Love you people!

Our Sweet Escapade

Congratulations to me & Mr.Booboo on our 5th wedding anniversary on 2/12/2010. We've made it this far albeit all the never ending glitches. Sedangkan lidah lagi tergigit kan....

We regards our 5th anniversary as very special.Kalau tak, tahun2 yang lain tu celebrate biasa2 jer...just a simple dinner but this time I really wanted to make it special. Since I'm kinda tired of being at our own house (dalam bilik kitaorang penuh dengan toys Iman Nadyne mengalahkan toy shop tu), just like any other days, we splurged a day at DoubleTree Hotel, in the heart of KL city. Funny rite? But I think it was sooo fun! We just wanted to unwind....have a quiet and peaceful time .....just US! And the hotel is a darrlinggggg....Its a new hotel by Hilton. And we loved every minute we spent in DoubleTree.
So this post is basically to share the beautiful experience we've had, indulging ourselves at a hotel with top notch facilities and surrounded by the beautiful picturesque view of KL city. Took quite a number of twin tower's view. Macam jakon pulok. Whateverrr.......

Enjoy!!

Checkout the room view from the bed. Yang korang nampak(see thru) tu is the bathroom. Uishh...sangatttt sexxayyyy. Boleh nampak dalam pulak. At first, we thought its the uniqueness of the hotel design, but figured out that there is actually a controllable blind behind the glass wall. hehehehhehe. Takkan la see thru bathroom kan. Tak pernah dibuat orang.
And check out Lil'Ms.Vein...ntah buat apa la kat situ. Biasala dia. Dia kan keje bahagian quality check. Semua dia check abis..

We became excited playing hide-and-seek from the see thru bathroom. I lepak dalam bathroom je. Wish I have that kinda bathroom in my house.

Checkout the line ups in the bathroom. Kewlness....I couldnt wait to bring all of those home. Crabtree & Evelynn??? Could you die??? (in Giuliana Rancic's tone. hehehhe)

Lil' "I" is still busy checking the room. Mommy as usual, glued to the blackberry.

It ain't funny when someone like me always have issues with hotel pillow. And thank God that at least someone understands. Checkout the pillow menu ya'll!
Below is Mr.Hubby posing at the room aisle and the tempting desk for those who works round the clock. I wish I had my lappie since they have this so-called "high speed internet" to be used FOC. Dangggg! Well, I could have picked my lappie at home. Bukan jauh pun:) But Johan told me, "It should be our time. Leave all your blogging activities at home". Dushhhhh....kena sebijik.

We had quite a late lunch, since check in pun dalam kul 12.30. Checkin bilik lagi, lepak2 lagi. And we were contemplating on lunch in the room jer. Tapi tiba2 terasa nak makan kat "Cozy Corner" @ Ampang Park since its just opposite the hotel.
So, us being a tourist in KL, we did what tourist does but locals don't, which is walking. Huh? Me walking? Hell yeah! We did. We really felt like a tourist. Awwwww... So, these are some of the photos that I managed to capture outside our room (love...love...love the paintings) and at the hotel lobby.

Abis makan...as we have promised to Ms.Rawkstar, swimming time. Tapi obviously lepas santai2 dalam bilik la. Giler apa nak swim terus lepas makan? Bak kata my mom, "biar nasi turun dulu". Turun mana eh?
Iman enjoyed the swimming session. Menjerit sakan. Siap tutup2 mulut lagi. Unbelievable la kononnyer. U memang diva tau!

I couldn't join the swimming session. sob..sob... Can you spot me in picture below? hehehehhe.
Tengok muka Iman Nadyne. hahahhahaha. What a photo.Candid masa dia tengah menggigil sejuk
So....for the night, we have planned to treat ourselves with an exquisite romantic dinner...with Iman Nadyne of course. hehehhe. sure romantik ada Iman:p But...as expected...after the long swimming session, Iman Nadyne was knocked out at 7pm. aduiii.....rosak plan mommy ngan daddy. Bak kata my mom, "Iman ni tak sporting la". hahahhaha. Nak buat macam mana...

Immediate countermeasure : In room dining je la. Romantic apa! Ada bunga orkid atas meja... makan menghadap drama queen yang tengah syok tido..huhuhuuhuhuhu
Korang perasan tak ada pasta kat dalam baby container tu? Napa kitaorg order kids meal when Iman is sleeping? Because....kitaorang takut makanan tak sedap. Well...thats always the case for hotel food kan. And we were right enough since the food was a bit f*c**d up skit la. There goes my romantic dinner. But I'm still going to have that special dinner....one fine day.

Why am I so obsessed with the twin tower ni? Sibuk amik gambar siang malam. So wot? Im lovin it. We started off the day with the hotel breakfast. Yummehhhh. I lurveeee hotel breakfast. But Im not gonna put up my greedy face here. hehehehhehe.
We toured the KL city after breakfast. Checking out the very peaceful KL city on early Sunday morning. Showed Iman the sky high Petronas Twin Towers. And she goes "Iman nak pedi te ee tee tee mommy". Later ok darling....
So abis semua tu, we went back to our room and started packing. Checked out at 12pm cos we have a wedding to attend. Dah janji dengan my mom. Nanti merajuk pulak dia. So, that explains the baju kurung. In fact, thats the only photo of us yang ada. Very kind of you, Mr.Guard :)
Iman tak lupa anak dia. Very kind mommy. But a bit bias. Bawak anak yang bongsu je....cos anak ada 4 orang kan. Tak boley bawak semua. hahahahha
And finally......US before leaving the hotel.

It was really a pleasant stay @ DoubleTree Hotel. I would love to do it more often. Huh?? U ingat u Paris Hilton???
